Merry Christmas

I can hardly believe the year that has been and we are now at Christmas 2013 . What a year 2013  has been . When we started out on our journey nearly 3 years ago we never thought we would have the overwhelming response we have had to our products. So many exciting things have happened in 2013 . Doors opened that we never expect and we began selling our Australian designed products overseas. It has been a heightened year of emotion experiencing both the good and bad of business and we would not have it any other way .

We would like to take the chance and wish all our customers the happiest Christmas and a healthy and Happy New Year .

We have been very absent from this blogging space as we have shipped out lots of our La de dah goodies to people all around world (I can hardly believe I am saying that )  and we hope come Christmas morning our La de dah goodies will bring pure joy , love and imagination to the children that will be receiving our much loved toys and homewares .

We would also like to take this opportunity to say Thank you and Merry Christmas to the wonderful team of Women who are based in China that help manufacture our La de dah goodies . These women are simply amazing, and talented and we could not be more proud of where we are making and how we are producing our goods . It has been a pleasure to visit and work alongside these women to produce our La de dah kids quality kids range in 2013.

To all the Freelance photograpghers , Stylists ,graphic artists and our lovely stockists that we have worked with throughout the year their amazing talents have helped us along the way and are very much part of the La de dah Kids brand success so Thankyou .

We are excited for 2014 and what the year will bring . Their certainly is never a dull moment in running a small business and we cannot wait to share the journey with all of you in 2014 .

For now we are having a small and  well earned break with our family to enjoy the sun and some much needed catch ups with friends and Family .

See you in 2014 x.

Halloween dress ups

Halloween is certainly a growing trend in Australia . Every year  I forget to have the cupboard well stocked full of sweet goodies for the annual knock at the door . However as my children get older and more aware I am becoming a lot more prepared .

We have some great dress up mask and tail sets perfect for the younger ones wanting to participate in the annual event .

Our full range of masks and tail sets are available here  .

They make the best present and what is even better is that they are made from 100 % cotton and if they get dirty they can simply be washed in a delicate bag in the machine . A dress up and a practical one .

Spring clean with smart storage.

Spring is here and already I can feel the warmth in the air . I find spring a great time to get organised for what is the beginning of the silly season and the sprint to the end of the year .

I find that being organised makes this chaos a little easier. What better way to organise the Chaos than with some pretty looking storage baskets.

These storage baskets are new to our La De Dah kids range they are all constructed by hand and using the finest 100% cotton making these baskets washable . They have handles on the side for ease of moving around making these the perfect basket to disguise the kids toys .

I also think these would look great in a bathroom with towels stored rolled up inside , With an indoor plant inside. In a lounge room or even in an Laundry .

These versatile baskets won't last long we have limited stock and colours .

Height is 29cm and Base 34cm and they retail for $65.00 and are available here .

Thanks to My Child magazine  for the latest feature of our Knitted beanie . Our beanie's are made from 100 % cotton which makes them practical , hard wearing and most importantly easy to wash . Great Places to visit in Thailand .

It has been a very busy couple of weeks and we are back to late nights and early mornings hence the lack of blogging but as promised I will finish the great places to visit in Thailand. This post is the final Instalment of our visit to Chiangmai . Hopefully it gives you an insight into how much of our ranges are inspired by travel , the animals we see and the experiences we have . Our life travels very much intertwine with the love and passion we design with  for our La De dah kids products .

Mae Sa Waterfall

- We hired a private taxi with air conditioning . This made it easier to get around with the kids and it also gave us the flexibility if the kids where tired that we could miss some of the activities we had planned for the day . It worked really well and it is incredibly cheap .

- We visited the Saturday and Sunday night markets both of which where very large and had great local Thai craft available for buying . The fresh fruit shakes where also a great treat for all the family .

- Maesa Elephant camp was a great introduction to being up close with the elephants . The kids where a little overwhelmed by the size but after riding around on an elephant they where in love . I really loved doing this with the kids there questions about an elephant where endless .

- Long neck Karen Village - this was a village  which was home to the Long Neck karen . You got to see the  women producing some of there Local Thai crafts in which you could buy. The colours of the yarns they where using where really out of this world .

-  Tiger Sanctuary in Kanchanaburi province, This was recommended by so many people . We stopped and had lunch here where you can also watch the Tigers up very close. We opted not to enter the enclosure with our over tired children . Most visitors enter the enclosures and you can pat a tiger . A once in a life time experience .

- Our final stop on the day trip was Mae Sa waterfall - surprisingly the kids really loved this . It is a little stroll down to the waterfall and the boys where straight in the water . It certainly gave a welcome cool down to a very hot day .
